Hi Mike,
The Pro3 does not have an initial power-output spike even if the ALC port is
not connected. If the amplifier has an ALC output, and the ALC loop is
connected, the amplifier will control the drive power.

Is the Pro III output controlled by the Pro III's ALC? If so, make sure you
don't overdrive the amp. due to initial full output from the Pro III.
