[ICOM] IC-2710 a little deaf on 2m only

When I take the squelch past 12 o'clock I can't hear anything!  :-)  But 
I did check it first.  I thought maybe there was a bad "pot" but there's 
clearly a difference between "pre" 12 o'clock (I can hear a little) and 
"post" 12 o'clock (it's really deaf!)  Also switched 2-m back and forth 
between left and right VFO to try to rule out bad "pot".

There is an "ATT" function on the mic but I get the low pitched "you 
can't do that" beep when trying to access it...
