Hi Chris,

I have an F40LT (upper range) which I was able to program on frequencies in
the 440-450 MHz range. You should be able to do the same with the F40G(S/T).
Do you have the software and cable? I believe the required cable is the
OPC-427.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [ICOM] IC-F40G 450-500 into ham band?

The IC-F40G(S/T) is a UHF land mobile portable. They're available in two
band splits, 400-470 and 450-500 MHz.

Does anyone know if the 450-500 MHz version will accept programming and
transmit/receive outside it's intended band split, into the 70cm ham band,
440-450 MHz?

Thanks,
Chris N2MCS
