[ICOM] IC-F40G 450-500 into ham band?

The IC-F40G(S/T) is a UHF land mobile portable.  They're available in
two band splits, 400-470 and 450-500 MHz.

Does anyone know if the 450-500 MHz version will accept programming
and transmit/receive outside it's intended band split, into the 70cm
ham band, 440-450 MHz?
