[ICOM] Re: IC746 746 Pro no output

I have contacted Icom on their CONTACT page (Warranty Help, Tech Help,
Customer Service Help). I will wait and see what their reply to me will
be. After it gets repaired I will trade up. I was already planning on
trading up and had checked on IC-756ProIII's in Tokyo last month.
Problem was I could not find an export model and the ones they were
selling were only about $200 cheaper than the HRO/AES prices.

I am betting that this is not the IC151 failure but will be a transitor
on the PA board. This is the most recent problem popping up. I have a
friend who purchased a new 746 pro for Christmas last year. In the eight
months of ownership, he experienced the same identical failure not once,
not twice, not thrice but FOUR times. Icom bought it back and gave him a
full refund. Check with Icom, they may fix it for you. Then I would sell
immediately.
