Hello,
It's been a few years since I had a 207 (I now have 2 IC2720). My
memory is weak on the 207, but it may have a common wideband driver
and power output device. The first thing I'd do is check the keydown
current pull on 2m and 70cm. If you have about the same current draw
(slightly more on 70 cm), but no RF output on 2m, take a hard look at
the switching PIN diodes. I had the same thing, and one of the PIN
diodes on the 2m side was gone. Have seen this situation in several
Icom mobiles across the last 15 years. I use a desk power supply
with current and voltage meters, makes it easy to troubleshoot this
problem.
