I really agree with Sandy on this.  There are many,
many great used rigs out there.  The TS-850S is one,
the TS-450 is another both going for less and $700
depending on the equipment in them.

I would rather have a TS-706 than a IC-735.  Dual
VFO's, QSK, FSK great rig.

The IC-735 is a good rig but not at $600.  More like
$350.00.
