Hi Hart,
The IC-735 is getting rather long in the tooth; spare parts are unavailable,
and you could eventually end up spending more on repairs than you did on the
radio. The 735 you saw is very over-priced; the going rate is around USD
300 - 350.
USD 600 will get you a brand new IC-718, with UT-106 DSP module, at the
major US dealers. With the loonie at par, that is a pretty good deal.
Radioworld's price is CAD 649, and you get the Canadian warranty.
Oh well, it's your money, your choice...
