Hi Hart,
As good as the IC-735 is, for $600, you can do a whole lot better.
Radioworld seems to be stuck in the days when the Canadian buck was worth
less than the American.

$600 is the going rate for a (Icom diehards, shield your eyes) TS850SAT,
which to this day still outperforms some of the newer product on the market.
Arguably the best receiver available for less than $1k.

Given the Canadian dollar's current status against the U.S. dollar, I'd
seriously look in the used bins of some of the American stores (Burghardt's,
HRO, AES, etc.) to see what $600 can buy. For not a whole lot more stretch,
you could even look at a used IC-746 PRO.

I would also look to Scott's qth.com classifieds (swap.qth.com) for some
radios.

Some of the sellers on Scott's sites have very favourable feedback and are
quite trustworthy. Using Paypal as a payment scheme also affords some
protection.

That's good to hear. There is one for sale here for 600 bucks at a local ham

store.
