There is only one thing about ham radio
that is cheap and that is the participants.
I've been stating this for well over 30 years.

And I'm just about as guilty as some, more
guilty than some, and not so much as some.

My .05 cents

At one time for 5 years I owned a Ham/Communication store. We found that
on the average a ham is the most cheap/tightwad on the
Face of the earth. They would come in and ask all the questions
Then would buy mail-order just to save the sales tax. Then would bring
it back to us if something was wrong with the rig.

We now buy what we want and still gripe about it.
