[ICOM] IC-756PRO VOX setting

This past weekend while operating in CQWW-SSB I attempted to use VOX 
for the first time. (I have always before used a footswitch, but this 
time my desk had a drawer which limited vertical knee travel.) Overall 
my effort wasn't too successful, with the VOX "hanging" or chattering.

So, PRO owners, what VOX settings do you use?

Environment is a Multi-2 environment with 2 amps, other operators, 
host's XYL, 2 kids and black lab drifting through the shack, and a busy 
home laundry room next door. (In other words, not exactly quiet).
