My old reliable IC-2410's crossband repeated right out of the box making 
them extremely valuable for field EMCOMM use.  I guess that's why I ended 
up with five of them (that I still have).  There are operational issues 
involved with any crossband repeating, but the IC-2410 held up their 
technical side very well.
