It could be due to using a different feed line length.

Hello all,
I have a 746Pro with a G5RV and use the internal tuner on bands 80 thru 6!
I have the G5RV as a flat top, which is what it was designed for, I think.
Flat top with the feed line hanging straight down. I love this antenna and,
as I said, it tunes the above bands down to SWR of 1.5 or below with the
internal tuner on the 746Pro. I don't know why mine works and others have
the high SWR problems.
