>From my own experience with my 746pro and a G5RV at 32 feet in the air as an inverted V, at least 70 feet of 50 ohm coax must be attached to the end of the ladderline in order to get a good match using the internal tuner. Just my 2 cents...

Hello all,
I have a 746Pro with a G5RV and use the internal tuner on bands 80 thru 6!
I have the G5RV as a flat top, which is what it was designed for, I think.
Flat top with the feed line hanging straight down. I love this antenna and,
as I said, it tunes the above bands down to SWR of 1.5 or below with the
internal tuner on the 746Pro. I don't know why mine works and others have
the high SWR problems.
