[ICOM] ICOM 756 PRO 3 Signal level changes

Thanks Adam,

I turned on a nearby TV set and still couldn't hear an interfering
signal; maybe it was too far away. Since others insisted they
could hear a birdie, for a while I thought that my radio was so deaf
that it couldn't hear itself...

Guys, when Adam speaks about Icom, listen...and don't argue.

To reiterate: That signal is not a birdie (internally-generated spurious
response): it is the 4th harmonic of the NTSC colour-burst
frequency. Cable
systems, TV sets, VCR's and other NTSC video devices radiate it. The
thing
is inescapable (unless one lives in a place where there is no NTSC
video). I
can see it on my HP spectrum analyser too.

Cheers for now, 73,
