[ICOM] SM-20 vs. SM-6

I just did the plunged and did the PRO II
hope it will live up to expectations
 
Will be looking for a diff mike than the hand mike  -- may go Heil

I did some tests a couple of years back using some "after market" mike
elements and based on "on the air tests" the majority of people said the
"after market" ones sounded like junk, tinny like a Ten Tec etc.

What is the difference between the SM-20 and the SM-6
mikes, other than one costs twice as much?

I know about the up/down function of the SM-20, but I
am interested in the basic mike aspect. In other
words, why would I need to pay twice as much for the
SM-20?
