[ICOM] RE: Which radio to buy

No question, the 706 hands down.  While not the top of the line, the 706 has 
so many more options and uses than the 718 that is not even a fair to even 
compare them.  The 718 is basically a no-frills entry level radio.  The 706 
is much more versatile and robust.
