[ICOM] IC-2710H Transmit Audio Too Hot

...as far as I can see, this appears to be chronic with Icom. I have an
IC-2410 with an HM 56 mike and it has the same problem. My guess it that
they goofed with the internal IC in the mikes and they're stuck with it. On
the other hand a pot in the mike isn't a wise idea. What I can't understand
is why they didn't design in a pad instead of a patch to trim levels  .

Yes ok Mac  BUT my point here is that Icom should NOT have shipped those
radios without doing the modifications themselves! In my book that is very
poor quality control on Icom's part.
