Bob,
Don't know if you're interested but the CT-17 can
be homebrewed for way less than the cost of a new
one. I built mine back in the 90s for $13 using
all new parts - I skipped the junk box as an
experiment to see how much it really cost. I have
the diagram which I can email if you wish.
