Tom: I am PRESENTLY using dial up. After tomorrow, I
should be using Cox cable and a modem supplied by Cox.

There are no other computers connected to the set-up.

The interface being used is a CT-17 clone from J.COM
which claims to be functionally the same as the CT-17.

The result is the same with 100 watts and 1000 watts.
I will try it with increments of 10 watts up to 100
watts and update.

The interface and N4PY's software does a good job of
controlling the Icom 718.

The cable company is coming tomorrow to install the
modem and I am not sure where I should put it in
relation to the shack. The young installer from
broadband told me that "you must install the modem
where the computer is going to be used". I am so
ignorant about this type service that I have accepted
what I am tole. Any suggestions will be appreciated,
because tomorrow is installation day. Thanks and 73,
John, K5PGW
