[ICOM] IC-775DSP - KeyerHELP PSE wiring idea

Ken: Thanks and yes, I use the Vibrokeyer. Regardless of what Universal
Radio's text says, the unit is to opearte as a Vibroplex "Bug" did, which I
am pretty certain is auto dits and solid dah.
I mean this was to keep/appeal to people who did not want to re-learn to
"iambic " style (which I never did).
As I noted (somewhere), the PRO series, including the current III each have
what is labelled a "BUG" setting which appears in the manual and in the
electronic menu. Set to "BUG" on the PRO, PROII, and my present PROIII, the
Vibrokeyer does just exactly that, i.e. adjustable speed automatic dits to
the right and steady dah to the left, regardless of what speed the dits are
set to.
Aaaaaaany way, thanks you for taking time to share your thoughts on the
subject. It appears as if I am going to have to make it work right through
non-standard external wiring to/at the key plug, as you suggest. May I get
back with you regarding your suggestion ?
BTW: Did you ever use a traditional bug ? or did you learn on iambic ?
Straight key ?
Thanks again & 73
Malcolm, K3KZ
