Frank check your power supply connections. Several have reported a
similar problem and each time it was found to be a power supply issue.
Loose connections or a bad power supply that can't maintain the full 20
amps at 13.8 volts. Also check the DC power plug that goes into the back
of the rig mine has gotten a little flakey as time has gone on.

Subject: [ICOM] 756ProII Resets on Transmit
Greetings all:
I believe this has been covered here but I don't recall the solution and
I'm trying to figure out how to wade through the archives.
My 756ProII has developed the problem of RESETTING (shutting off and
immediately back on) the moment I attempt to transmit. Even with a dummy
load connected to the antenna jack and RF POWER set to 5 watts, the
moment
I key the transmitter in any mode, the radio shuts off and turns back
on.
What is the standard cure for this problem?
Thanks!
