[Icom] IC7800 Manuals

It would seem that the Russians have good early access to the Icom gear. 
I've had QSO's with three Russian hams recently, each of which said they 
were running IC-7800s'. Obviously their economy isn't that bad! :-)

The point is, that of the three QSO's, two of them seemed to have a 
slight flaw that was apparent the audio. There was this raspy crackle, 
rather subdued, but it was there. While I was listening, several others 
who had QSOs with them also mentioned it. Sounded kinda like the noise 
you hear when a mic connector is loose. Each said they were using an 
Icom mic but none indicated which one. Other than that, the audio/signal 
sounded just like most any other rig on the air, nothing magical that 
made the IC-7800 signal sound better than anything else. These were of 
course the typical "hit and run" QSOs as there were lots of people 
trying to work them. Gotta be the receiver section which supposedly 
makes the IC-7800 shine.
