Also, do a search for the rig on GOOGLE and on QRZ. There is a lot of
talk about that same problem. There is a mod that helps prevent that
problem, but I am not sure it has actually been solved by Icom yet. I
was planning on getting a 746Pro II, but with that problem being so
apparently common, I decided to get the 706 first. Later, if the
problems go away, I'll reconsider purchasing a 746 Pro II.
