Dan,
If you check the last amplifier chip before the PA.
Bottom of radio, left side, 8 pin surface mount chip. It is
a 2 GHz broadband amp. Input should be around 500-550 mV (pin 1 of chip)
output should be about 16-18 db higher at pin 5 of the chip.
Pin 8 should be about 4.5 - 5 vdc during xmit.
IC designator is IC151! It is a upc1678gv by NEC.
Mouser and Digikey both carry it for about $2.00 and $3.00.
