Hi Group  ,  Thanks for the information regarding the AM mode selection for the Icom IC-208 transceiver. I wish that they would have started the coverage at 225mhz instead of 230 or 240mhz. I use an Icom IC-R100 receiver for mobile but have always wanted a "dual-band mobile" for receiving 225-400mhz but have never found one that can be manually switched to AM in this frequency range. There are several HT's that have this feature. It would be nice to scan my favorite VHF/UHF air frequencies along with the Amateur frequencies while operating mobile instead of having to use a second receiver like the Icom IC-R100. I hope to see some of you at the Dallas "Ham-Com" this weekend. Thanks , Randy N5WV
