I didn't realize that Europe had "triple-split" the 25 kHz
channelization in VHF.

To the best of my knowledge, we are not  USING  the
25 kHz splits in the UHF range here in North America.

I am a tech in the comm shop here at FAA's repair depot
overhaul facility in Oklahoma City and work on the ground\
radios every day.

Mac....Aircraft comm spacing is 25khz in the USA and 8.33khz in Europe.  Has 
been that way for over 5 years now.  Not enough spectrum.  In the USA as you 
stated, 118.00 to 136.975.  In Europe, courtesy of ICAO, the frequencies 
that are 8.33 are called channels.  If you look at the control heads of the 
radios, trying to determine your "Exact" frequency, is almost unbearable.
