[ICOM] Icom AH-4 and brand Y rig

Ken,

Yes that combination should work. You will have to place the rig into a 
continuous carrier mode like CW, RTTY, AM and set the power out to 10 
watts. The AH-2 control box can put the transceiver into transmit, its puts 
a ground on a PTT line. The AH-2 controller will also control the AH-4 tuner.

The AH-2 controller when attached to a 735 puts the 735 into transmit, sets 
the power to 10 watts through the ALC line, and into I seem to remember FM 
mode.
The tuner does its tuning and the AH-2 controller releases the 735 back to 
normal including back to the original mode.

I think if you can get the PTT line connected and maybe the ALC working 
then it will be real simple to put the Yaesu into something like AM and 
press the tune button on the control box.
Icom's ALC goes from 0 to -4 volts DC. I don't know what Yaesu requires.
