Yep - this is why I am so very pleased with the IC-2KL I bought in Europe
back when the Army had a lot of soldiers there and france and germany were
our friends (Well, germany anyway). It came with 10/12m enabled, and even
has the band switch and LED for 10/12m.
I did the mod (without the bezel/band switch/LED) for a friend a number of
years ago, and it was not that difficult. Seems we took an hour or two. I
do remember that if you didn't read the directions completely it was easy to
miss a step and it would not work.
Read carefully, go slow, and it will all be fine.
