[Icom] EXPENSIVE accessories!!!

I know what you mean about the filters... In the mid eighties, when I
was an Icom dealer, for a couple of years I noticed the Icom filters for
the 455KHz IF like the FL44 or FL52 or FL53 were almost double the price
in the USA as in Canada. I was selling them retail in Canada for much
less than dealers were paying wholesale in the USA. At some point, the
price was adjusted (increased in Canada!)... But one does get the
impression that the price of accessories are based on "whatever the
market will bear" as opposed to some mark up from cost...
