[Icom] CT-17 Baud speed change??

I am using the CT-17 for the '56pro2 and PW-1. All units and the com port
are set to 1200 baud because the CT-17 interface "IS" on 1200Baud per the
instruction sheet. Can the CT-17 be put on 4800 or 9600 baud to speed up
responses to key/unkey commands from the PC? I use MIXw2.06 and there is a
delay of 1/2 second from the command from the software to the time the radio
is keyed or unkeyed. It varies too. Strange and I have tried various
settings in the PTT/CAT configure in the software. Next thing is to look at
settings in the rig for the digital key/unlkey commands. Any help
