Was it a toll free number or your nickel?

I have sat on Yaesu's number after it answers and then sends you to the
Amateur extension for half an hour and no one picked up. This happened more
than three times and it is not a toll free number. :(

I guess if the number would be toll free they all would have to hire more
help. :) Like that is going to happen....

Subject: [Icom] Icom parts support

As much as I like my PROII, I can no longer recommend Icom radios to anyone.

June 5th I called Icom parts and after 5 minutes on hold I gave up. The
recording that reminded me that my call was important also gave an email
address so I emailed my parts order.

No acknowledgment received by June 10th so I called again. After another 10
minutes on hold I finally found a real people to talk to.

Part of the order had been shipped on the 6th and the rest of the order will
be shipped today. It sure would be nice if Icom management was not so
secretive.

But in the meantime, I spent 15 minutes listening to their stupid recording
that kept reminding me that "YOUR CALL IS IMPORTANT".

It appears to me that Icom management no longer cares about existing
customers. Fire a few more low paid people that do nothing but answer
customers telephone inquiries so they can give themselves another fat raise.

To add insult to injury, I ordered a part for a Kenwood TS-940S on line
(from Pacific Coast Parts). 15 minutes later I received an acknowledgement
that the order had been shipped. That's what I call service.

Would you believe that I am not a happy Icom owner?
