If your not satisfied with the low setting on the display that is adjustable
via R201.
Pull the covers and look on the left side of the chassis with the knobs
facing forward.
Just beyond the indentation the covers fit in is R201. This is strictly a
low intensity
adjustment.
I agree filter selection and activation can be a bear. Re-read section (14)
Optional
Filters Branch and sooner or later it will become clearer.
The CR-282 TXO is amazing. This thing is closer than a commercial frequency
meter we were using. The book says =- 0.5ppm but I see closer to +-0.15ppm
after a
half an hour.
The book also says the s-meter in dual watch mode is a sum of the received
signal
strengths. I never paid much attention to that particular reading. Guess I
belong to
the "you got to hear them to work them" more than the typical "your 20 over
S-9"
report you hear all the time.
In any case you have an excellent radio in the 775DSP. Enjoy it. I sure do
mine.
