Tnx fer ur reply Dan, tis comforting to know I am not alone, hi. I have only
had mine a few months. Had a problem with the back lighting and had to send it
back to Icom also they found bad solder joint in VCO, so that plagued me till
I got fed up with the blinking erratic operation. Seems to be OK (touch wood)
now except for the battered up the box in shipping such a HIGH VALUE item, hi.

I have lots of questions and dunno where to start so I won't, but, I find it
very complicated. The SET menu system for the filters has me frustrated but we
shall overcome, I hope, hi. Another thing I woud like to pass by you IS, when
on Dual Watch, which VFO is doing the talking, so to speak, be nice to have
two S meters like the FT1000-MP Whoops what did I say.
For your Info Icom have a Mod for the erratic back lighting, you probably know
that - I have my lighting on LOW, the other is too bright for me.
Any how Dan, thankyou so much for your reply. I saw on the reflector someone
suggesting an Icom users club, did you see that? good idea.
