[Icom] IC-2720 HELP!

This thing is turning my hair gray! Well... OK it was already gray. Is there
anyway for this rig to scan (in memory mode) VHF on one side and UHF on the
other? As far as I can tell memories are common to both sides. Regardless of
which side I enter a frequency in memory. It pops up on the other side
also... If I set it to skip a channel on one side it skips it on the other
too. I don't know if setting it in banks will clear this up or not. Only
thing is, setting and using the banks hasn't sunk in yet. There is nothing
wrong with the rig. That I can tell. I had a 2800H a little over a year ago.
I don't recall it operating this way. It's like I have a 207H with two
displays. Any insight would be appreciated. I am very near sending this
puppy back.
