Hi Joe, all,
I have a Jeep Cherokee sport that I use my 706MKIIG in all the time. I
made a mount for the remote head mount out of 0.60 aluminum bent in a 90
degree angle. The head mount fits on the vertical leg and the horizontal
leg slides under a seam in the top of the dash. Maybe your dash has
similar seams. When not in use I slide it out and put it away.

The power I brought in from the battery (fused both +&-) through a hole
drilled in the firewall, fitted with a rubber grommet and silicone sealed,
that comes out under the side kick panel at the passengers feet. From
there I routed it under the panel beneath the door and out next to the
passenger seat. From there I have enough cable I can put the radio under
either the pass. or drivers seat or bring it into the front seat area. I
used heavy Black/Red zip cable for power and have the original power cord
cut just after the factory fuses and I have a very heavy duty connector for
it. When not in use the power cable is coiled under the passenger
seat. The remote head cable goes along the dash to the corner pillar of
the windshield, gets tucked into that, goes over the door until it gets to
the pillar behind the driver, then down to the floor and out under the
seat. Nothing ever gets stepped on and is out of the way when in and out
of use.

I hope this gives you some ideas.
