Perhaps you can fabricate a bracket to attach at the ashtray, heater
controls or other dash items. My vehicle has actual steel at these points.

For power, I go the the firewall at the speedometer cable most of the time.
The hole and grommet are usually fairly large to accomodate the cable ends.

Best regards,

Subject: [Icom] MB-65 for IC-706 in 2002 Plymouth Minivan

I got a new IC-706MK2G at Dayton this year. Nice radio and I am thinking
about putting in my 2002 Plymouth minivan. The question is has anyone used
the IC-65 mounting base in this type of minivan?

The dash has curves in it. I don't want to drill holes in it, but hopefully
this mount will stick on. The Icom website doesn't give much information.
BTW they gave away the remote head kit with the radio, so I think all I need
is this MB-65.

Also wonder if anyone has a way to get to the battery?

Thanks
