I just wanted to get your attention. Did I?

See, subject lines ARE important.

And, they should be informative and complete. If you want something
specific, include that info in the subject line!

For instance, "IC-245" is a CRUMMY subject line. It leaves the person
receiving the message asking: For Sale? Wanted? Need help with? What?

Contrary to what some list members seem to believe, there are those of us
who do not read every message sent to us. And, guess what? We use the
subject lines to make that determination. So, if you have a crummy
subject line, your message goes "PLONK!" Is that what you wanted? If not,
then why do you use crummy subject lines?

Yes, this was "Free". Well, not exactly - you did SPEND time reading it,
right? And, if my subject line had been more informative, you could have
skipped this message. But, that wasn't my intention just as I suspect
that some of you try to arouse the reader's curiosity with your
incomplete subject lines. But, that doesn't go over too well in some
circles!

To those of you who employ the use of good subject lines, I apologize for
this distraction.

To those of you who don't, we aren't even close to even!
