[Icom] Frozen Send relay - 756

It is possible that Icom's techwriters changed the manual after the first
release. My IC-756Pro User Manual, Pub. No. A-6072H-1EX-(2), clearly states
0.5A on Page 18. To quote: "The specifications for the SEND relay are 16V 0.5A.
If this level is exceeded, a large external relay must be used." Also, on Page
12, Item 10: "Max. control level: 16V DC/0.5A".
I do not quite comprehend the purpose of this debate. I cannot believe that it
is an attempt to justify not using an auxiliary interface, in the face of all
the evidence to the contrary (in the form of blown and welded internal relays).

I know of a case where an AL-80 damaged the internal relay. Use of an interface
such as the Ameritron ARB-704, or an external relay, is strongly recommended.
