I worked in an area where 5 9s where just the start.  We used 5 9s as the 
expression for the purity of the metals that we sold as electronic 
materials.  The better stuff was 6 9s.  Ther were a coule of elements that 
were up to 7 or 8 9s but difficult.  Some were considered 7 9s by the 
industry as the impurities were such that they could be used as dopants in 
the material.  That is if you could not remove the bad stuff replace it 
with good stuff.

7 9s arsenic that is 99.99999% pure.  Great stuff.
