I don't think the Yaesu has FSK - only AFSK.  If that's not important to
you, it gets to be a tougher choice.  My 706MKIIG has been run hard in RTTY
contesting, and is one tough little rig.  Gets hot as a firecracker, but
just keeps going and going and... several years now.  I took the 706 over
the 100 because of recommendations regarding its durability and because of
the FSK feature.  (The FT-100 was brand new when I made my decision, so no
reports available.)

The Yaesu looks cool!  ;-)
