Here here Paul!! That is kind of what I have been trying to say but some
folks just like to argue. That is why I have hit the delete button on about
three people here that seem to get their feelings hurt if you say anything
bad or objective about Icom. I also purchased a Ten Tec item is in the Omni
6 Plus and it had a switch that was intermittent out of the box, but it
could have been done in shipping. It did not affect how the radio performed
though and it did not out perform the FT1000 that I still use today. But I
agree with your post about the ham in which they gave him his money back
after what...6 months!!!, they gave me mine back, Let's see any of the major
Asian mfg.'s do that. I would already own a Pro II and several other rigs if
they would extend the same olive branch that Ten Tec does as in a 30 day
money back guarantee.
Thanks Dave and this is my last post on the thread. Back to the fun of ham
radio. By the way, got to meet Bob Heil and purchased his new Pro Set Plus
headset. Man with the HC4 and HC5 element in one headset and switchable, it
is hard to beat along with an audio phase or centering switch so you can see
the contact you hear better. Also saw where W2IHY did a review on the Pro
II. He is an FT1000D owner and wrote a very good and objective review which
if interested, you can read on Eham. 73 and please guys, hit your delete
button if you don't like my post or don't agree with my opinions without
having to send a flame. That is what I am doing with yours. 73, Steve
