[Icom] Headset with mic

Another advantage of taking the receiver output through a mixer/EQ to an
external amp and speaker is that the mixer EQ allows you to tailor the
receive audio response to eliminate that "765 hiss" that Paul speaks of. I
find that this capability allows me to use almost any convenient headset
and still make the audio sound like I want it to. I ordinarily use the
ProSet but my AKG K240 pro-audio headphones can be used as well by cutting
the high end response with the EQ controls.

I have yet to improve much over the basic response of the HC-5 element in
my ProSet but again with the mic EQ in the mixer - Behringer 802A - the
transmit audio can be tailored to suit as well.
