[Icom] Icom 756-Pro II audio/mic input alternatives

Hi,
My definition of good audio in our hobby is when you can recognize
some one by the voice you hear on the air. Ever operated radio in
combat situation? Voice radio is almost useless, no wonder so many
lineman get killed running blown up wires over and over for land line
connection. Now it is all helmet imbedded mobile digital whatever.
I was a radio repair man for field artillery(105mm howitzer) battalion.
My MOS was 144.
