They are just a "stack" of the last three frequencies that you accessed
when on that band. You can preset them by tuning first to Frequency A, and
pushing the button, and then to B, and pushing the button, and finally to
C, and pushing the button. The next button push will take you to A, the
next to B , the next to C, the next back to A, etc.
Clever, eh?
I find this one of more useful and by now indispensible features of the
PRO. I used the memories on my 765 for the same purpose, but this is
quicker and easier to change plus you still have all the memories as well.
My complaint with the keypad is that the key legends are too hard to see
and read. Poor choice of colors for old eyes in dimly lighted shacks! <:}
