Joe,
These three memories are not preset frequencies; they are band-stacking
registers. Each register holds the currently set frequency and emission
(mode) for the band in use. Pressing the band key rolls the stack.
Refer to Page 24, middle paragraph, "Triple Band Stacking Register".
You can set up band edges using the main or MP (MP-W, MP-R) memories.

Purchased an ICOM 756Pro recently and I'm still wandering through all
the functions. It is surprisingly intuitive - until you get to the
keypad. Each key will bring up, up to three preset frequencies so you
can have "markers" for the portions of a band that start Phone, CW, TTY
or, I suppose, whatever you want. The problem is the manual is SILENT on
how these frequencies are put in. Any ideas from you old time ICOM
756Pro guys?
