[Icom] Heil Goldline & VOX

Hi Bill,

I believe you are exactly correct. When I heard varying reports of the
results obtained with the Goldline and Pro I wondered if there were some
rigs that had more sensitive mic inputs than others. I am starting to think
that it is not so. It is the differences in the operators that explains this
variation. I was hoping this VOX test would bear out this fact and although
we have only a few responses it seems that this is the case. The comment
from Jim leads me to think that perhaps the ProII is more sensitive.
However, one response on the ProII is not really enough to be conclusive.
Your remarks along with my own observations and those of the respondents
causes me to think that the HM-i might be a better choice with the Pro for
soft spoken persons whereas the Goldline may be fine for those with a
stronger voice.

Thanks

73, Hal -K4HW
