[Icom] SM-10 and 706MKIIG

Hi all,
I have a SM-10 and 706MKIIG.  When I connect the SM-10 to the 706 and=20
switch the 3 position, power switch from off to Comp, the radio turns=20
off.  It will turn right back on at the radio on/off switch with no=20
problem.  When the SM-10 switch is in the comp mode the mic works and=20
switching between the comp/equalizer positions does not turn the radio=20
off.  Everything appears to work on the SM-10, but I have not tried to have=
=20
someone I know check my audio yet.

Any ideas on how to keep the mic from shutting off the radio, other than=20
turning on the mic and then turning on the radio?

Any and all help will be appreciated.
