[Icom] Help with 706/RTTY

You might get more answers to this on the RTTY reflector. I don't have the
pinouts in front of me, but I know that many, if not all, are over lapping.
The "RTTY Jack" on the back is a convenient place to input your PTT and FSK
signals. I use a 2 wire + shield audio cable from RS for ground, PTT and
FSK from a home brew interface to this RTTY Jack. I get my fixed receive
audio from the ACC connector. I think you can also input your PTT and FSK
signals via the ACC connector, but I think you will ultimately find it
easier to use the RTTY jack for FSk and PTT - This assumes, of course, that
you plan on FSK RTTY, and not AFSK RTTY. If you plan AFSK RTTY, then you
would input the audio passed on by your Rigblaster to the audio input of
that ACC connector.

I hope this helps. I don't have a RigBlaster, but I am well familiar with
various ways to run RTTY FSK and AFSK as well as inputing PTT signals.
Email me off the reflector if you can't find someone with a RigBlaster to
help you.

P.S. You do realize that for the price of 1 transistor and 1 resistor you
could have saved the money spent on the RigBlaster? SRI, couldn't resist!
At least you're not using the MIC connector for audio input.

Hello,

I have an Icom 706MKIIG and a Rigblaster Plus. I'd like some help with
setting it up for FSK RTTY. I'm confused about how to interface it
correctly with the Rigblaster Plus. There is a jack on the back of the
radio for RTTY, and also a few relevant pins on the ACC13 connector.

For those of you who have successfully set this up, how did you do it?

Thanks for any and all advice.
