Jim,

I have an SP-20 which I have been using since 1989 with an assortment of
Icom radios. I am very satisfied with it.

There are many alternatives - the Radio Shack Minimus or Optimus bookshelf
speaker, commercial land-mobile speakers manufactured by Motorola, GE etc.
Ultimately, choice of a speaker will be a matter of personal taste.

Subject: [Icom] Icom 756 Pro II Speaker Options

I have decided to add an outboard speaker to my 756PROII. Of course, ICOM
offers the SP-20 ($249 list) and the SP-21 ($119) list. Hard to believe the
small amount of audio filtering the SP-20 provides is useful given the notch
feature on the PROII but was wondering what others think?

Or, what other products besides the ICOM speakers should I consider? Other
thoughts also appreciated.
